Summary:
A year later, a servant saw Mr Hyde murdering Mr Carew from her bedroom. Te police arrived but Mr Hyde had already disappeared but the dead man was still there with a half of a stick that was supposed to be the weapen of the murder. On the body was a letter adressed to Utterson. The police called him and when he came to the murder scene he recognized the body as Sir Danvers Carew. Utterson recognized the murdering weapon as the Doctor Jekyll's stick that he gave him a long time ago. Utterson and the police inspector went to Hyde's flat but he wasn't there. However his servant can answer some questions.
