Chapter 9: Dr Jekyll's confession



Summary:

 Keckyll explains all about the transformation to Utterson, then he confess that he lost the control of Hyde, and he needed more and more drugs.  Moreover, sometimes he fall asleep and he woke up as Hyde. The drugs runned out and ask Poole for more but he wasn't able to repeat the formula, in that moment of weakness he wrote the confession and the last will

Chapter 8: Doctor Lanyon's letter

Summary:

Lanyon's letter contained an explanation of what Utterson have to do on 9th of January, it tells him to go to the laboratory and take a box and a book. Then he have to wait for a man who will ask him for the box. The man that is talking about was Mr Hyde who entered in Lanyon's house and drink a liquid and powders which were in the box. After that Hyde transforms to Jeckyll who explains how works that liquid.

Chapter 7: The last night



Summary:

Poole, the servant of Dr Jeckyll, talks with Mr Utterson, becouse he is worried about what is happening in the laboratory of Jeckyll. Poole claims that he has heart voices that dont correspond with his master. Then Jekyll break the lab's door with an axe and he discover the body of Mr Hyde, but they aren't able to find Dr Jekylls body. Instead of that they fins a pocket with three envelopes adressed to Mr Utterson. The first tells that he gives all his money to Utterson, the second tells to open the third after reading the Lanyons letter. Therefore he return to his home to read Lanyon's letter.

Chapter 6: The face at the window



Summary:




Utterson and Endfield were walking while having a conversation about Hyde. Then they decide to meet Jekyll from the courtyard. They saw him in the window and they started talking. Jekyll said that he won't be there for a long time becouse he was quite ill, suddenly closed the window with an expression of fear in his face.

Chapter 5: The death of a friend

Summary:


Time passed but Mr Hyde couldn't be found. Dr Jeckyll celebrates dinners and accept the invitations of his friends. But he start refusing all the invitations and ignore his friends. Mur Utterson went to visit Dr Lanyon but he was very ill, then he explained the story of Dr Jeckyll and him. One week later he died, and two weeks later form the burial he opened the Lanyon will, it contained an envelope that said "Not to be opened until the death or disappearance of Henry Jekyll". Utterson tried to meet Dr Jeckyll but he refused him.

Chapter 4: Doctor Jekyll receives a letter

Summary:


Mr Utterson go to visit his friend Dr Jeckyll, Utterson tries to calm Dr Jeckyll becouse he is very worried about his reputation. Dr Keckyll tell to Utterson that he has recieved a letter from Mr Hyde but he dont want to read it becouse he dont want to know anything more about Mr Hyde. The letter says that Mr Hyde was completely safe.

Chapter 3: The Carew murder




Summary:









A year later, a servant saw Mr Hyde murdering Mr Carew from her bedroom. Te police arrived but Mr Hyde had already disappeared but the dead man was still there with a half of a stick that was supposed to be the weapen of the murder. On the body was a letter adressed to Utterson. The police called him and when he came to the murder scene he recognized the body as Sir Danvers Carew. Utterson recognized the murdering weapon as the Doctor Jekyll's stick that he gave him a long time ago. Utterson and the police inspector went to Hyde's flat but he wasn't there. However his servant can answer some questions.

Chapter 2: In search of Mr Hyde

Summary:


Mr Utterson wanted to know more about Mr Hyde. Everyday for five weeks stay in front of the mystery door. One day, Hyde appears and Utterson asks him for Doctor Jekyll and he doesn't wants to talk about this because he thinks that Utterson is lying. Two weeks later, Dr Jekyll gave a dinner party, and Mr Utterson was among the guests, he go to speak with him about his will and his friend Mr Hyde, later Doctor Jeckyll makes that Utterson promises that If anything happens to Jekyll, Mr Hide inherits his money.

Chapter 1: The mysterious door

Summary:

The story started when Mr Utterson, a lawyer, and his best friend, Mr Enfield were walking together in a narrow street. Then Enfield told to his friend a scary expirience, he was walking in the same street when he saw a men that had made to fall a little girl and he passed over her. Then Enfield stopped the men and ask him for a compensation for the girl's family. The men agrees and gave a cheque with the name of Dr Jeckyll. Enfield and Mr Utterson were very surprised about what happened.

Characters


Utterson: He is a very shy lawyer. Once you meet him he is very kind and good, although he is very gentle and polite. Utterson don't allow himself many enjoyable things in life.

Richard Endfield: He is Utterson's cousin and although his best friend. He was well known as a fun-loving man. He often takes walks with Utterson talking about many things while they are opposite to each other.

Mr Hyde: He is short man and Endfield say that he have something inhuman. He have an evil look and something disgusting in his face. He's also very strong and heavy.
